ThirdSpace Psychotherapy is an in-network therapy practice in Manhattan exclusively for NYU students. We're in-network with Aetna Student Health (the NYU student health insurance plan) and handle all billing directly on your behalf.

What is Aetna Student Health?
Aetna Student Health is NYU's student health insurance plan, effective August 21, 2026. Most actively enrolled students are covered automatically. You can verify your coverage anytime through the Aetna Health app or by calling 1-877-480-4161.

How does billing work?
We bill Aetna Student Health directly as an in-network provider. Your coinsurance is $17 per session on the Comprehensive plan or $33 per session on the Basic plan. We submit all claims on your behalf, you don't need to do anything except show up.

NYU students — transitioning from Wellfleet?
If you currently have Wellfleet coverage, your plan will automatically transition to Aetna Student Health on August 21, 2026. Your deductibles, copays, and coinsurance will remain the same. ThirdSpace will continue to accept your insurance without any interruption to your care.

Where are we located?
Our office is located at 1123 Broadway in the Flatiron District — approximately a 10-minute walk from NYU's Washington Square campus. We also offer virtual therapy anywhere in New York State.
