ThirdSpace Psychotherapy is an out-of-network therapy practice in Manhattan that accepts the NYSHIP Empire Plan. If you're a New York State employee, teacher, CUNY faculty or staff member, MTA worker, or the dependent of someone with NYSHIP coverage, you may be eligible to see one of our therapists for just $35 per session.

What is NYSHIP?
NYSHIP — the New York State Health Insurance Program — is the health insurance plan offered to New York State employees and their dependents. It covers a wide range of public sector workers including state and city government employees, public school teachers, CUNY faculty and staff, MTA workers, and employees of other public agencies and institutions.

How does billing work?
We bill NYSHIP directly as an out-of-network provider. You pay $35 at the time of your session and we submit all claims to the Empire Plan on your behalf. You never have to deal with insurance paperwork, reimbursement forms, or claims submissions. We handle all of it.

Our therapists specialize in anxiety, depression, identity, relationships, grief, trauma, OCD, and life transitions. We offer in-person sessions at our Flatiron office at 1123 Broadway, and virtual sessions across New York State.
