I know what it's like to sit across from someone and wonder if they really get it. Therapy is personal for me because I’ve been on the other side of the couch and experienced what a profound impact a good therapist can make. This is what shapes how I show up. Clients most often describe me as warm and direct, and I value therapy as a space that is both supportive for you but also one where you can work towards the changes that you want to see in your life. I'll never push you faster than you're ready to go, but I'll also be your biggest cheerleader when it comes to taking risks to do the things that feel hard or scary.
I am most experienced with OCD, phobias, trauma, and sex therapy, but I regularly treat depression, other anxiety disorders, hoarding disorder, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and ADHD. I primarily utilize person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and insight-oriented therapeutic approaches, and work to tailor treatment to each individual client. I work best with clients who want to feel genuinely known by their therapist, not just treated as a diagnosis.
Areas of focus include:
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (Exposure Response Prevention, Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
Phobias
Sex Therapy (sexual dysfunction, shame and identity, compulsivity and addiction, LGBTQ+, kink and ENM/poly affirming)
Trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD
Depression
